2. Facial Data and Photos (Core Functionality) To provide our core service (AI-powered facial proportion analysis and styling guidance), we require access to your device's camera and photo library.

• Local Processing (On-Device): When you use the live camera scanner, facial landmarks (such as the position of eyes, nose, and lips) are detected and processed locally on your device using Apple's native Vision framework. We do not extract, store, or transmit biometric data or TrueDepth 3D mapping data from your device during this live scanning process.
• Cloud Collection & Processing: To generate your personalized aesthetic report and determine your face shape, the 2D photo you capture or select is securely transmitted via encrypted channels (SSL/TLS) to our trusted third-party cloud AI service provider (Google Cloud Vertex AI). This transmission is strictly for the purpose of analyzing facial geometry to provide your styling results.
• Temporary Retention: Your photos and the generated JSON data are temporarily processed on Google Cloud Vertex AI's secure servers solely to facilitate the analysis. These files are not stored persistently by us and are automatically deleted by the AI provider upon the completion of the request. Your photos are never used to train any machine learning models. We do not maintain our own database or servers containing your face data.
• Local Storage: All generated analysis reports, measured proportions, and your scanning history are saved only locally on your device. If you delete the app, your history will be permanently lost.

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data, facial geometry, or photos. We share data only with essential service providers:

• Google Cloud Vertex AI: As mentioned above, 2D images are sent to this cloud AI partner solely to generate the geometric analysis. They are bound by strict data protection agreements (Google Cloud Privacy Terms) to not use your photos or derived facial data for any purpose other than fulfilling your immediate API request.

4. Security We use industry-standard encryption protocols (SSL/TLS) to transmit your photos between your device and the AI servers. Because we follow a "zero-retention" policy on our end and process critical geometry locally when possible, the risk of data breaches involving your personal images is effectively eliminated.

5. User Responsibility By using Face Shape Finder, you represent that you have the legal right to use and process the photos you upload. We strongly encourage users to only upload photos of themselves or individuals from whom they have obtained explicit, informed consent for facial analysis.
